I replaced a condenser fan motor on a KitchenAid refrigerator because the unit was not cooling properly. This panel is secured with screws and requires some effort to remove. Once the panel was removed, I could access the condenser fan motor. The condenser fan motor is connected to the motor shaft by a belt. I removed the belt from the motor shaft and then removed the motor from the refrigerator. To install the new condenser fan motor, I first cleaned the mounting surface of the refrigerator and the condenser fan motor. I then installed the new motor onto the mounting surface and secured it with the belt. I also connected the electrical wires to the new motor.
I am a professional appliance repairman technician, and I recently completed a job replacing an icemaker on a whirlpool refrigerator. The refrigerator was not making ice, and the customer was frustrated. I diagnosed the issue as a faulty icemaker and replaced it with a new one.
